The Denver Broncos are on the hunt for a new head coach.

They won’t rush the process, but they also won’t be outbid for the candidate they want the most. Accordingly, they are going big-fish hunting for their next head coach.

The Broncos plan to interview Sean Payton later this month and have already had minor discussions with the former Saints head coach. They also plan to interview current Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Now, another veteran in the coaching world has emerged as a potential candidate.

The Broncos just requested to interview Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn at some point.

This move is particularly interesting because Quinn was one of their finalists last season.

There was a lot of speculation that they were going to choose Quinn before the Broncos ultimately hired Nathaniel Hackett. Clearly, that didn’t work out too well.

It sounds like Quinn is getting another opportunity, and the Broncos may not be the only team to interview the long-time NFL coordinator and former head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.

Quinn, Harbaugh, and Payton are all three very well-respected coaches in the league. You know what you’re getting with any of those three. That is a stark shift from the hiring of Hackett just an off-season ago.

Quinn is definitely going to get another shot at becoming the Broncos new head coach.
