The Denver Broncos have been dealing with injuries this year, as they do every year, it seems like, anyways. The Broncos have dealt with some key ones this year, starters, to be exact. Luckily for them, some guys have stepped up.

Depth is one of the most important things in today’s NFL. If you look back at the last few Super Bowl winners, they all have depth at key positions.

The Broncos have done that well this season. We saw some of that in the preseason, and we have seen that to start the season. In fact, one guy has had to step up due to injuries and has done an exceptional job.

Broncos’ Singleton has done his job and some

This season we have seen Josey Jewell and Jonas Griffith both deal with some injuries. The starting linebacker duo hasn’t been 100% healthy, and that forced backup linebacker Alex Singleton to step in, and stepped in he has.

Singleton has been amazing for the Broncos. If you watch the tape of their games played so far, you will see him always near the ball, either getting a tackle or assisting. His name has been said a lot so far during the 2022 season.

Last week against the Houston Texans he finished with five total tackles, tied for second-most on the team. Against the Seattle Seahawks, he finished with the most tackles on the team with nine.

According to Pro Football Focus, Singleton has five stops on the year. He has an overall grade of 69.7, a pass rush grade of 72.4, a run defense grade of 65.5, and a coverage grade of 65.8. All of those are pretty good grades when you consider the type of player that Singleton is.

This guy has played his way into the rotation as a linebacker for the Broncos. I’m not saying he will be a super star or anything crazy like that, but it’s the depth pieces like these that make
