The Green Bay Packers have had a rough couple of days.

Green Bay’s 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions was embarrassing.

And to make matters worse, the Packers likely lost linebacker Rashan Gary for the season due to a torn ACL.

Fortunately for Green Bay, they got some good injury news on running back  Aaron Jones.

The former UTEP standout injured his ankle against the Lions and had to leave the game.

Tests on Jones’ ankle, however, came back negative. And according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jones is expected to play this week against the Dallas Cowboys.

This is obviously tremendous news for the Packers.

Green Bay’s offense has been bad enough this season. The last thing they need is to lose one of their best offensive players.

Just how important is Jones to the Packers’ offense?

Well, he’s second on the team in receptions with 32 and he has nearly double the number of yards from scrimmage of anyone else on the roster.

I’d say he’s a pretty important part of Green Bay’s offensive plan. And fans should be thrilled he’s expected to play against the Cowboys in what is most certainly a must-win game for the Packers.

What’s the Packers’ biggest problem on offense?
