We’ve seen some wild predictions this offseason for the Green Bay Packers in 2022.

A lot of national analysts seem to be down on the Packers this season due to the trade that sent star wide receiver Davante Adams from Green Bay to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Minnesota Vikings, for example, have suddenly become a trendy pick to win the NFC North.

While losing Adams certainly hurts the Packers, it wasn’t a move that closed Green Bay’s Super Bowl window as some analysts have suggested. This team still has a great defense and they have one of the greatest NFL players of all time under center in Aaron Rodgers. Let’s not forget that Rodgers is coming off back-to-back NFL MVP awards. He’s at the top of his game right now.

Rodgers could also end up having more help than expected in 2022. That’s because second-year wide receiver Armari Rodgers, the son of former Tennessee Vols quarterback Tee Martin, could be in for a breakout season in 2022.

Packers wide receivers coach Jason Vrable spoke highly of Amari this week. Vrable told reporters that Green Bay wide receiver Randall Cobb pointed out to him recently that Amari is starting to “get it”.

“So if you were to see him right now, he already looks faster and stronger than he ever did,” said Vrable this week (via USA Today). “He’s in the best shape of his life. His mindset is, ‘I’m going to be the No. 1 guy at all three positions.’ He has that going for him. His route-running is already cleaner and crisper. He’s trained an entire offseason.”

Amari, a former Clemson standout, caught just four passes for 45 yards as a rookie in 2021. He’ll have more opportunities this season, however, thanks to the Packers’ unsettled depth chart.

Green Bay needs Amari and others to step up in a big way in 2022. If the young wide receiver can prove to be a reliable option in the passing game, then it’ll erase the Packers’ need for another veteran wide receiver on the roster.
