The latest “big story” surrounding Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers is complete nonsense.

Green Bay is set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend in what could be the final showdown between Rodgers and Tom Brady.

Rodgers said this week that Brady has “regressed physically”, which led to this headline from

The actual quote from Rodgers, however, is pretty harmless.

Rodgers wasn’t throwing shade at Brady — he was actually complimenting him.

“He’s probably better mentally and slightly regressed physically,” said Rodgers. “He takes care of himself incredibly but, you know, age, I’m sure, 45, he might feel better and be more pliable but definitely different than at 30. But his consistency has been there every year of his career.”

Rodgers is just pointing out that Brady isn’t as young as he used to be — which we all understand.

There’s nothing to see here. These two guys have a ton of respect for each other. And the last thing Rodgers would do is throw shade at Brady before the two meet in a pivotal early-season matchup.
