One of the reasons the Green Bay Packers weren’t able to get past the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night was because of Aaron Rodgers’ inconsistent throws.

Several of Rodgers’ throws were off target or “wobbly”.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback admitted as much after the game.

“I missed a couple throws for sure,” said Rodgers after the loss. “I’m not sure exactly which ones you’re talking about, but I definitely missed a couple throws.”

“I couldn’t point to one thing,” added Rodgers when asked about his throws. “I’m not going to make excuses about my thumb. It’s been the same since New York. I don’t know, I’ve got to go back and look at it. I felt like fundamentally I was in a good spot but just didn’t have the same type of consistent grip and the ball coming out the same way. I threw a lot of kind of wobblers tonight.”

Rodgers mentioned his thumb and not making excuses because of it in that response.

His thumb, however, might be exactly the reason Rodgers is having issues.

“Big B”, a Packers fan, tweeted that Rodgers told him during his Make-A-Wish weekend that his thumb is broken.

Big B’s Make-A-Wish weekend was during last week’s game weekend (just a few days before Thursday’s game against the Titans).

You have to appreciate Rodgers not making excuses, but it seems obvious that the thumb is affecting his play right now.
