The Kansas City Chiefs announced Saturday that they are promoting veteran linebacker Elijah Lee and fourth-year wideout Daurice Fountain from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

If they play, both players will likely see the field on special teams. Lee logged 335 special teams snaps last year with the Cleveland Browns and Fountain recorded 36 with the Chiefs as a gunner on punt returns.

Kickoff is set for Sunday, September 11 at 4:25 p.m. ET
