The Kansas City Chiefs are counting on rookie cornerback Trent McDuffie to be a big difference-maker in 2022, but he will no longer be available during Sunday’s matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
McDuffie was ruled out of the game in third quarter after he suffered a leg injury that required him to be carted off the field and to the Chiefs locker room.

The extent of the injury is obviously unknown, but it’s a big blow to the Chiefs secondary if McDuffie is out for an extended period of time. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will have to dig deeper into his young position group with players like Joshua Williams and Jaylen Watson, among others, if the first-rounder misses time.
