KANSAS CITY – The Chiefs have great things going for them, even when it seemed to be the opposite. Fans got worried when Tyreek Hill was traded away to the Miami Dolphins, and they had every right to be.
However, after the trade, things slowly got better. The Chiefs signed JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Ronald Jones for the offense.
After the free-agent acquisitions, the Chiefs had maybe the best draft class. George Karlaftis, Trent McDuffie, and Skyy Moore headline the Chiefs draft class of 2022.
Things look to be going great for the Chiefs, especially on the offensive side of the ball. After Smith-Schuster’s recent comments in a press conference, fan optimism should only keep growing.
Chiefs’ Smith-Schuster confident in the offense
The Chiefs have had one of the best, if not the best offense the last few years. Since 2018, they have been lethal on that side of the ball. Now, it just so happens that is the same year Patrick Mahomes started for the team. What a coincidence.
Even now with Tyreek Hill gone, the Chiefs are still loaded. They may be loaded even more, now. While the star power was better last year, with Hill and Travis Kelce, the depth is better now.
Teams will lose sleep trying to prepare for this offense. They will have nightmares about who to gameplan for when any given game one of four guys can go off.
Smith-Schuster seems to think the same about the offense.
“I think that with this offense that’s here, we have so many guys who do so many different things all-around. Everyone plays every position, everyone knows what everyone is doing, and I think that right there helps out a lot going into the season,” Smith-Schuster stressed about the new pieces on offense.
“I mean, the sky is the limit. We are going to have to show y’all this year going into the season,” said Smith-Schuster.
It is true. The sky is the limit for the offense. Hopefully, the sky is what we see come August when pre-season starts.
