The Kansas City Chiefs just received some shocking news just days before playing their division rival on Thursday Night Football.
On Tuesday, head coach Andy Reid spoke to the media about the injury report. We expected McDuffie to be day-to-day or questionable to play Week 2. And, that is exactly what Reid told the media.
What he didn’t mention is that rookie cornerback McDuffie would be heading to the Injured Reserved list, as he continues to deal with his hamstring injury, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
#Chiefs placed CB Trent McDuffie on IR. The rookie first-rounder is out at least four weeks with a hamstring injury.— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) September 13, 2022
That puts him out for at least four games, per NFL rules.
Rookies Jalen Watson and Joshua Williams now have an opportunity to step up.
