Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire may have just set an NFL record for the shortest stint on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list of all-time.
That’s because the Chiefs removed Edwards-Helaire from the list on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after his placement was initially announced.
Andy Reid said as much during his press conference.
“Clyde was put on PUP until he finished his testing and then he practiced today,” Reid told reporters. “So we just took him off it and he practiced.”
It was reported that Edwards-Helaire’s issue was nothing major and that has held up throughout. Now, the Chiefs have their starting running back and a guy who is going to be relied upon heavily back in the lineup.
