The Kansas City Chiefs have had an outstanding training camp so far, and it’s only just getting started. According to all of the media members at camp, things are looking nice on both sides of the ball for the Chiefs. The feeling around the team is great, as it has been for the last few years. The Chiefs are sure to have yet another successful season in 2022.

Andy Reid will let you know if a practice was good or not. I can’t quite remember when it was, but I’m almost certain he has reported to the media after a training camp practice and let them know it wasn’t great. Reid isn’t quick to give out praise, either. However, it has been nothing but positive, so far.

However, that will probably change within the next 24 hours.

Chiefs to throw the pads on Monday

The Chiefs just finished the acclimation period of camp, meaning the team is ready to put the pads on.

That happens on Monday.

The work is only about to get harder. Hits are about to start being made, and the team is going to start feeling everything even more. Reid also loved what he saw from the team on Friday.

“Good day today, it was a little bit longer practice, by rule, we have another one tomorrow,” coach Reid said. “Tomorrow will be our last one in shells with the ramp-up period, so we will come back, Sunday we will be off, and Monday we are back with pads on.

Great competition. I like the energy level, the offense is making plays, defense is making plays, and we are getting better every day, and that’s the objective.”

The Chiefs are putting in the work to get better. The team as a whole, has a chip on their shoulder from last year. If I had to guess, they are not happy with the way things ended last year in the AFC Championship. It certainly looks like the team is using that to fuel their fire here at training camp.

And now, we finally get our first glimpse into what the team really looks like on Monday.
