Football is back, and we all could not be more excited. Whether you play fantasy football, are a die-hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, or are just a fan of one of the players, the feeling is the same, and that’s nothing but excitement for the 2022 season.

The Chiefs are in a position to compete for a Super Bowl once again, which could be a major reason the team is so eager to get started.

“They are ready to go, to just go play, you know, play against someone else besides themselves here,” head coach Andy Reid told the media on Friday. “I think it will be good to get out there and get going, right, to get started here. You saw that last night [Bills vs. Rams on Thursday Night Football], but teams were hyped up and ready to go.”

The players have to be more excited than anyone. They get to do this for a living, and it honestly probably doesn’t feel like a job to them. Playing football is still fun to these guys and a new year only boosts that feeling.

“This is the best part of the year for me,” Travis Kelce explained. “Getting to go out there, new expectations, new team, new identity, and we are fired up because of it. Another hack at another year, it’s just exciting man.

“We definitely have a challenge ahead of us, man, but we have been waiting all year to go out there and have some fun, so I’m planning on doing so.”

The Chiefs are ready, and so is everyone else wearing red and gold this weekend. What better way to start the season than with a win over the Arizona Cardinals come Sunday?

Hopefully, the Chiefs convert some of this built energy they have to their opponent, and I think they possibly could. Watch for the Chiefs to score quickly and easily.

From what we have seen in training camp and preseason, the offense will flow, and the defense will wreck, exactly what the team needs.

This Sunday the Chiefs will start a season that is very different than the last few. They aren’t coming off of a Super Bowl appearance, for starters. And, not to mention, their team looks very different.

Either way, Sunday, and this season could be very fun.
