The Kansas City Chiefs recently made a change to their roster before playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.

According to the Chiefs transaction reports, they released sixth-year veteran Elijah Lee on Tuesday.

Lee was formerly on the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and San Francisco 49ers before joining Kansas City this year.

Lee played eight total defensive snaps this year for the Chiefs and 66 special team snaps. He currently has four total tackles, and 103 tackles in six years.

The Chiefs must like what they have on the practice squad at the linebacker position more than what Lee was giving them. This move will have no real effect on the Chiefs.

There is a big chance Lee will make another roster or someone’s practice squad just based on the experience he does have.
