Tyreek Hill is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and that is not the debate. The honest discussion is where he lies among those players. Hill is not even the second-best offensive player on the Chiefs, just for a visual of how dominant the offense is.

Recently Pro Football Focus, a football-related website, ranked Tyreek Hill as the 18th best player in the NFL. Of course, a teammate of Hill’s, Mecole Hardman, did not agree with that and took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

And I think most of us can agree with the other speedster in Mecole Hardman. Having Tyreek Hill ranked as the 18th best player may be a little low. However, PFF did get one thing right. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are both in the top three, but that’s beside the point.

Suppose people have Hill that low overall; where is he as a receiver. Well, this one you may be able to agree with, in my opinion anyway. I can guarantee he is at least in the top five, and maybe even higher than that based on his skill set and production.

Chiefs Tyreek Hill Among the Best

In a way, Tyreek Hill became a game-changer. Yes, he can change the outcome of a game just by a single play. However, never before did other NFL teams target smaller speed guys at wide receiver in the draft. The Chiefs made that popular after Hill put the league on notice. The speed and pure athleticism are what separates Hill from the rest.

Tyreek Hill has to be a top-five wide receiver; it would be asinine not to have him there. I think why people easily overlook him is because of the games he does not go off. Hill is on an explosive offense with the best quarterback in the league and the best tight end in the league. The target share cannot always go his way, depending on the game script.

When people see he had under 100 yards in a game, they will often think he played badly, but that is simply not the case. Instead, Travis Kelce may have had himself a day.

Like DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, Stefon Diggs, and Devante Adams, some of the other top receivers in the league don’t have another weapon on the offense like Travis Kelce. Having a luxury like that is also what tends to get Hill overlooked in the discussion.

If you just watch the plays he makes, especially when they seem impossible, Tyreek Hill will show you why he is actually a top-three receiver. Chiefs fans are proud to have him on their side; of course, who wouldn’t want him on their squad.
