The Las Vegas Raiders are already making moves to make the team a bit better after the injury they sustained to a starter last week against the Denver Broncos.

Denzel Perryman went down with a concussion against the Broncos early. As their starting middle linebacker, they knew they were going to need someone soon at the position, someone with experience in the starting position.

So, the team went out and got Blake Martinez.

Martinez is a former captain for the New York Giants. He started his career in Green Bay in 2016. In 2017, he led the league in tackles with 144. In 2018, he had his best year and was nearly a Pro Bowler, as he finished with 144 tackles, five sacks, and 10 tackles for loss.

The Raiders are getting a guy who is always around the ball and plays extremely physical. They are getting a guy who isn’t afraid to lay a hit.

This is actually a very good signing for the Raiders, as they are staying prepared for anything. Because of the date, and when they play their next game, Martinez could be ready to help this defense on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs.
