The Las Vegas Raiders have been having a good problem to have over the last two weeks, and I’m sure fans, media, and others are starting to notice as well.

We all know about the big names on this team. There are so many of them, it’s hard not to. I mean guys like Davante Adams, Maxx Crosby, and Josh Jacobs have pretty much been good models of consistency.

Sure, they have had bad games, but not many at all, and for the most part, those three guys have been dominant.

The Raiders have been having some guys step up that we usually don’t hear about a whole lot, and it’s been coming in crucial moments too when they are needed the most.

But the Raiders expected the other guys to step up. Guys like Foster Moreau and Keelan Cole stay ready.

“You have to be ready because you never know,” offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi said of guys being ready.

We all know the saying. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. Just because the defense isn’t worried about you, or the game plan isn’t revolved around you, doesn’t mean you aren’t a key piece. It doesn’t mean you won’t get the ball.

“The coverage is going to dictate where the ball is going to go, not the plan. We hope for a certain coverage, and we might get something different. So, Derek [Carr] has to do a good job of going through his progression, and each player has to do a good job of running their route,” Lombardi continued.

Every player, because it isn’t just Adams, has done just that. The Guys are getting open in crunch time. Guys are drawing attention. And, guys are making plays because they are doing their job the right way.

To be honest, we didn’t see that a whole lot at the beginning of the season.

“You saw the same thing happen with Foster and his touchdown, and then Keelan Cole a key third down back-to-back weeks. He runs a great route and gets open, and Derek finds him because that’s where his read brought him, and we convert a first down. It’s really something special because you never know when the time is going to come in the game, and obviously, guys have done a good job taking advantage of that moving forward.”

The Raiders are starting to have a problem. But, it’s a good one. They have guys stepping up and making plays. Since these guys are starting to make plays and are stepping up, being ready when their number is called, that means the Raiders are having a problem with options.

Like I said, it’s a good problem to have though. Having too many guys to throw to is never a bad problem. I promise you guys like Davante Adams just want to win, and they don’t care how it’s done.

Foster Moreau has been huge for the Raiders, especially considering the fact that Darren Waller has been out.

Guys like him and Cole are going to get paid by somebody.
