The Las Vegas Raiders just hit up the New England Patriots for help with one of their biggest issues.
The Raiders have been dealing with offensive line problems, like a lot of other teams. They have been looking for a starting caliber right tackle for quite some time now and have even been using two different players at the position, giving them different lineup combinations.
After cutting former first-round pick Alex Leatherwood, the Raiders had no choice but to trade for a right tackle who could get the job done. That would be offensive tackle Justin Herron from the New England Patriots. The Raiders sent a 2024 pick swap as well.
Justin Herron was a reserve tackle in New England, someone many #Raiders personnel are familiar with. He also has two years left on his contract, and Las Vegas can work to develop him. https://t.co/J9w12Iwbq6— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 21, 2022
Herron is just what they need. He will add starting caliber play, and let the Raiders have more depth at the position by pushing Munford and Eleamunor to the bench.
Herron has only started 10 games in his career, but is only in his third season. He is a pure athlete as well, just take a look.
With reports that RT Justin Herron was repping with the 1s today in practice, here's a friendly reminder that he's a very good athlete.— Taylor Kyles (@tkyles39) August 22, 2022

The Raiders were right in making this trade, and hopefully everything works out.
