The Las Vegas Raiders started Sunday morning with a clean slate in terms of injuries. They had no one on the injured list prior to the game. However, when the game ended, that changed, a lot.

According to Josh McDaniels, the Raiders had seven players make the list.

One of them was Anthony Averett, who suffered a broken right thumb.

Per Ian Rapoport, Averett will need surgery and is likely to miss at least a month, also likely he will be heading to the Raiders’ injury reserved list.

Averett had a decent day against the Chargers, as he allowed just one catch for 30 yards in his 20 coverage snaps.

The Raiders will miss him for that month, but star cornerback Nate Hobbs isn’t worried as he said they will make it work no matter what.
