Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Ramon Foster, a co-host on 104.5 The Zone's Ramon, Kayla, and Will, thinks a redshirt senior defensive lineman could be an "X-factor" for UT football this fall.

On Tuesday, Foster pointed out Vols defensive lineman Bryson Eason as a player that he's been hearing a lot of positive things about this offseason.

"As far as the interior (defensive line) goes, a guy that's popping up that's been consistently talked about around that program is Bryson Eason," said Foster. "He, to me, is going to be one of those X-factors."

"I've heard so much about Bryson Eason, but it's yet to be seen," added Foster. "But from all indication, this dude has first round caliber talent."

Eason is a former four-star recruit from Memphis who signed with the Vols during the 2020 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-3/300 lb defensive lineman is coming off his best season at Tennessee, totaling 27 tackles and five tackles for loss in 2023.

Tennessee has a stacked defensive line entering the 2024 season. Names like James Pearce, Omarr Norman-Lott, and Omari Thomas tend to receive most of the hype, but Eason is a player who has steadily improved throughout his time in Knoxville. He's also stepped up as a key leader in recent seasons.

You know Tennessee's defensive line has the potential to be elite when a player that's viewed as having first round talent is flying under the radar.
