The Nashville Predators announced that their pre-season training camp will open on September 21st. Prior to this, the team will hold their annual Rookie Camp and Showcase which begins on Wednesday, September 14th. During rookie camp, players from the Predators organization gather to practice, work on expanding their skillset, and scrimmage against rookies from other organizations. The group will practice in Nashville before heading to North Carolina for scrimmages. The Predators last hosted this camp in 2019. This year’s camp will be led by Karl Taylor and the rest of his coaching staff with the Milwaukee Admirals (the Preds’ AHL affiliate team).

The roster will include both signed and unsigned draft picks, free agent signings, and players on professional try-out agreements. One player to watch is goaltender Yaroslav Askarov, who put on a thrilling performance at Preds Prospect Development Camp.

Expect to see Preds prospect forwards Zachary L’Heureux, Luke Evangelista, Juuso Parsinnen and Egor Afanasyev put on an offensive show while defenders Luke Prokop and Jack Matier put on a display of shutdown defense. Take a look at all the rookies that will be in attendance:
