In Wednesday night’s Game 4, Hartman was visibly frustrated with how the game was being officiated. He received a stick in the “groin area” from an Avalanche player. Throughout the remainder of the game Hartman was flying around the ice with what you could call “reckless abandon” and delivered the illegal check on Carl Soderberg.

Some Preds fans and media members had suggested that Hartman might be a healthy inactive even if he was not suspended. Hartman’s penalty in the third period allowed the Avs to scored their first goal of the game to make it a 3-1 lead.
Wednesday Calle Jarnkrok returned to action after missing more than a month with an upper body injury. He joined Hartman and Mike Fisher on the fourth line. With Hartman suspended Friday, either Mikka Salomaki or Scott Hartnell could join Jarnkrok and Fisher on the fourth line. Salomaki played in the first three games of the series while the veteran Hartman has yet to appear in a playoff game this season.
