Tennessee needed a game changing play and Avery Williamson delivered.
The Titans’ offense had gone completely cold. The Broncos’ offense had scored 10 unanswered points to cut the Titans lead to 13-10 with under two minutes to go.
Thinks looked bleak inside Nissan Stadium, but the Titans defense came up with the game-winning play they had been looking for all season long. Denver QB Trevor Siemian completed a pass over the middle to tight end A.J. Derby near midfield. However, Titans linebacker Avery Williamson had other plans as he stripped the ball out of Derby’s grasp. Teammate Damian Stafford pounced on the loose ball, and the Titans escaped with a victory over the defending Super Bowl champs.
