NFL Network’s NFL Top 100 certainly has its flaws. No one can argue that. Nonetheless, the most interesting piece of the rankings is the commentary from players around the league about a certain player on the list. It gives fans an inside look into how the players they watch on TV feel about the opponents they face throughout the season. Even after an injury-riddled season, Julio Jones still came in as the 29th-ranked player in the Top 100. The league still understands his greatness, and another top WR had high praise for the new Titans WR.
“In our era, @juliojones_11 has always been the No. 1 receiver.”

Stefon Diggs is coming off the best season of his career. He totaled 1,535 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns on 127 catches in 2020. The Bills pass-catcher grabbed the #11 spot on the NFL Top 100.
That #11 ranking is where Julio was placed in last year’s Top 100, meaning he dropped eighteen spots on this year’s list. That should come as no surprise after he only played in nine games last season. In those games, Jones had 51 receptions for 771 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.
He’ll look to rise back up the rankings after a strong season this year with the Titans.

Regardless of any list, Julio clearly remains one of the most polarizing athletes in the sport. His physical freak-of-nature ability has always been and always will be marveled at – for good reason. His addition to the Titans roster cemented the team’s WR position and created one of the best duos in the league in Jones and A.J. Brown.
Jones has accumulated 12,896 receiving yards and 60 TDs on 848 career receptions. Since his debut in 2011, he’s made 99+ receptions in a season four times. By his career’s end, he will have over 1,000 receptions for over 15,000 yards. Defenses have game-planned specifically to stop Julio in any game against the Atlanta Falcons over the last decade. Success in those attempts has been minimal.
#Falcons traded 5 picks in the 2011 Draft in order to grab Julio Jones, including two 1sts and a 2nd
It was worth it

Julio’s technical precision may be the biggest marvel. Even at 6’3″ and 220 pounds, his routes have always been some of the best in the NFL. Those, mixed with elite downfield ability, make an extremely dangerous mix. That combo and much more have created a special career that will continue in Tennessee.
It’s clear that Jones’ opponents and fans alike will always appreciate his incredible talent.
