Week 10 features a matchup of two teams coming off of very different weeks. The Tennessee Titans continued their win streak against the Rams. On the other hand, the Saints suffered a surprising loss to the rival Atlanta Falcons last Sunday.

There are a few key matchups to watch as the game unfolds on Sunday.

Saints RBs vs. Titans LBs

It’ll be a tall task for the linebacker core of the Titans to keep Mark Ingram and/or Alvin Kamara in check. Kamara is currently questionable with a knee injury. There is no doubt that the Saints will get the backs involved in both the running and passing game. The linebackers must tackle in space.

It was fair to expect that David Long Jr. to get the most responsibility against either one or both, but he will miss the game with an injury. His athleticism would’ve played a big role for the Titans defense. Jayon Brown and Monty Rice will need to step up. Not to mention, the Saints will probably try to work in some screens for them. Tennessee cannot allow those to turn into big plays.

A.J. Brown/Julio Jones vs. Saints CB Marshon Lattimore

We can’t predict if Lattimore will shadow one of the receivers for the entire game or not. Regardless, either of them having success against the Saints’ top CB would be vital. That puts a lot more stress on the secondary of the Saints.

The Titans may not attack Lattimore too often, but they also cannot be afraid to on offense. With Derrick Henry out, the top receivers are only more important to the explosiveness of the offense.

Jeffery Simmons vs. Saints Center Erik McCoy

This is another strength on strength matchup. McCoy has been one of the best interior offensive linemen in the NFL over the past couple of seasons, while Jeffery Simmons has emerged as one of the most disruptive defensive linemen in the league.

If Simmons can win a couple of important reps against McCoy to knock the Saints’ offense off schedule, the Titans’ chances for a win increase exponentially. He singlehandedly wrecked the Rams’ game plan last week. Sean Payton’s offense is very methodical with Trevor Siemian as the starter. Forcing negative plays will be key for the Titans.

The last time these two teams met it turned into a bit of a shootout. This time, the teams look much different. These are three matchups that will help decide the Week 10 winner.
