It felt like the Tom Brady to Nashville talk was dying down after Derrick Henry suggested on Bussin with the Boys that Ryan Tannehill should be the Tennessee Titans’ quarterback in 2020.
But the Brady to the Titans talk isn’t dead.
In fact, it’s alive and well.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter told Rich Eisen on Wednesday that Tennessee is viewed by ESPN insider Jeff Darlington as the favorites to land the future hall of fame quarterback.
Schefter described the Titans as “more of an option” than he realized for Brady. He finished his comments with “we need to pay more attention to Tennessee (in regards to Brady) than we thought”.
Something else interesting that Schefter mentioned is that if the Titans choose to not franchise tag Ryan Tannehill, they run the risk of missing out on both Brady and Tannehill.
Here are Schefter’s full comments.

The only way I can see the Titans signing Brady is if they’re planning on identifying their next franchise quarterback in the draft (which is hard to do with a late first round pick).
And even if they’re going to draft a guy, it still probably makes more sense to tag Tannehill and leave Brady alone.
But don’t underestimate the Jon Robinson/Mike Vrabel connection to Brady. That’s likely the reason this talk isn’t dying down anytime soon.
