The Tennessee Vols are flying high. Their offense has been a train, and defenses simply have not gotten off the tracks so far this season. Quarterback Hendon Hooker has been the conductor.

Hooker has been one of the best QBs in the country. The Vols QB has been the best signal-caller in the SEC so far, according to many statistics.

Hooker’s dominance through the air and on the ground has been impressive. He has singlehandedly kept the Vols’ offense balanced.

Not to mention, the Vols QB did not have his top receiver in Cedric Tillman last weekend against the Florida Gators.

If Hooker continues to be smart with the football, it makes the Vols extremely dangerous. Turnovers are one of the few obstacles for Josh Heupel’s offense, and Hooker has been very efficient with the ball this year. It may be one of his biggest traits of growth from last year to this year.

For the Vols, Hooker has to continue these performances if they want to get to 9-10 wins. It is completely possible, though. He has been a fighting rod for excitement in Knoxville so far this season.
