By now, almost every Tennessee Vols fan knows who their biggest jinx is at their sporting events. No, it’s not themselves. It’s one of, if not, the greatest athletes in their school’s history. It’s the one and only Peyton Manning.

Manning has witnessed many painful defeats as a fan in the stands for the Vols. The latest was their loss in game one of their baseball team’s super regional against Notre Dame. As we now know, the Vols went on to lose that series to be eliminated from the postseason.

Even though his Vols did not make it to Omaha, the most well-known “Omaha” shouter was there to watch some college baseball at the Men’s College World Series. Manning watched Notre Dame reign supreme once again. They beat the Texas Longhorns to continue their impressive run against some of the top-ranked teams in the nation.

Going forward, the Vols may want to lock the gates before Peyton gets in if he is trying to attend a sporting event as a fan. Just for the sake of the fan base.
