The New Orleans Saints absolutely loved wide receiver Chris Olave as the 2022 NFL Draft emerged.

His silky smooth routes and electric speed excited the front office in New Orleans. The Saints knew he was the wideout that they had to have, so they made sure they got him.

Now, that is paying off. Olave has been ultra-productive in his first season with the Saints.

ESPN, along with the football world, is noticing.

Among rookies, Olave is statistically dominating.

He leads rookies in receiving yards with 618. Olave also has the most receptions among rookies with 43. 28 of those catches are for first downs. That leads the rookie class as well.

He is a smart receiver that looks wise beyond his years on the field.

Olave knows how to pick out the pockets of space in zone coverages, but he can also take the top off of defenses in man coverages.

Olave is a true dual threat at wide receiver for the Saints.

Through eight games, Olave has more receiving yards than some of the biggest names at the WR position in the NFL.

That list includes Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb.

He is clearly the top receiver for the Saints, and fans are ecstatic to have him.

It is nice to see that ESPN is giving him his flowers even while the Saints are struggling right now.
