Every New Orleans Saints fan knows how rare it is to see a former LSU Tigers player in a Saints uniform. Luckily for them, that has changed this season with a couple of veterans. Former LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry is a new addition to the offense. Former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu is a new addition to the defense for the Saints.

We finally got our first glimpse of them in their Saints uniforms.

Fans are really excited for these two LSU alums. Not only are they local products, but they also help the team in a big way.

New Orleans lost two important safeties in the offseason in Marcus Williams and Malcolm Jenkins. They will plug in Mathieu and fellow newly acquired safety Marcus Made into the backend of the defense.

Wide receiver was a very thin position last season for the Saints. Jarvis Landry provides veteran depth and leadership at the position. The trio of Landry, Chris Olave, and Michael Thomas could be really special for New Orleans going forward.
