The New Orleans Saints are in a rut. Most of this season has gone that way for them.

This week, Andy Dalton will start at quarterback once again.

Dalton and the offense have struggled mightily over the past month. Injuries have been painful, but they have needed a lot more production than what they have gotten.

Questions have arisen around Jameis Winston. He has not played since Week 2 of this season.

Dennis Allen says that Winston is not fully healthy.

Of course, just a few weeks ago, he said that the decision to stick with Dalton as their starter was just an offensive decision.

Now, that offense is on a downturn, and Winston believes that he is ready to play. Apparently, Allen and the Saints’ coaching staff do not agree with him.

Winston had some strong comments about the situation earlier today.

Clearly, it is frustrating for Winston.

He wants to get back on the field to attempt to prove that he should be the starter. As of now, he is not getting that opportunity.

It will be interesting to see how the staff handles the QB controversy if Dalton struggles again on Sunday against the Rams.

Will they make a change during the game? Would they wait until the following week? Only time will tell.

One thing is clear, though.

The Saints are underperforming, and the team is running out of time.
