For the New Orleans Saints, they must stay healthy on offense this season. They had an injury scare with quarterback Jameis Winston last week. He’s back at practice this week.

Reports indicated that Winston’s injury was minor last week. It was described as a “tweak” in his foot area. It looks like he just needed a couple days off to let it work itself out, and he is back in attendance for the Saints.

Winston returned to the practice field today, but he removed his pads early in the session. He won’t take reps today, but he is back in attendance. That’s the biggest difference from last week.

Andy Dalton performed well in the Saints’ first preseason game, but the offense will be the most efficient with Jameis at QB. At least the Saints do know that they have a better backup option if they do lost Winston to any sort of injury this season, though.
