Jameis Winston won over many fans of the Saints on the field in the team’s season opener. His fourth quarter performance in the comeback win against the Atlanta Falcons was special. After the game, he made a comment that will endear the fanbase as well.

His calm demeanor means a lot for the Saints. They absolutely need that with all of the changes that have come to the offense during this past offseason.

They have two new starting receivers in Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave. The Saints have a new head coach, and Pete Carmichael Jr. is in charge of play-calling. Consistency and level-headedness from Winston is major for New Orleans.

Coming back from today’s deficit is no small feat. It came against a team that many predicted to finish last in the NFC South, but it proved that Winston and the Saints are resilient. The offense can be very clutch in big moments under Winston.

The fourth quarter 16-point comeback was the largest in franchise history. Winston was calm and collected throughout it for the Saints.
