New Orleans Saints’ head coach Dennis Allen rarely shows emotion on the sideline during games.

That changed in a big way during Monday night’s game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Clearly, the rivalry brought out some energy in the Saints’ leader.

During the second half against Tampa Bay, Allen showed some emotion after a couple of great plays by his defense.

This isn’t something that Saints’ fans have seen all season long. Allen hasn’t showed much emotion in wins or losses.

It’s a great sign for the Saints. Their head coach is still locked in, even after the frustrating struggles this season.

You can tell that he does care about this team, and he is excited about the defense’s improvement. They have been playing much better ball over the last few weeks.

The Saints could get Pete Werner and Marshon Lattimore back next week as well.

Allen’s emotions are something to keep an eye on as this season unfolds. The Saints still sit in possible playoff contention. He has to keep them on track.
