The New Orleans Saints got a makeover for their wide receiver room during the offseason. They got Michael Thomas back from injury. New Orleans added Jarvis Landry. Finally, the Saints drafted Chris Olave. The talent at the position for New Orleans is on a different level, and the depth is exquisite. One of them has stood out the most during training camp so far, and it probably isn’t too much of a surprise.

It is Michael Thomas.

The practice reports are gleaming regarding that star receiver for the Saints. He is fully healthy and making all the cuts that Saints fans are used to seeing from him every Sunday during the season.

Nick Underhill is one of the most straightforward beat writers in the league. If he believes that Thomas is back to his elite caliber, that is noteworthy. Of course, Thomas’ health going forward is the biggest question mark. Regardless though, he is doing exactly what the Saints hoped he would be doing by this time in camp.

A healthy Michael Thomas takes an exciting Saints offense on paper to another level. Jameis Winston will most likely be allowed to air it out a bit more this season, and Thomas will play a big role in that. If he isn’t catching the passes, his skill level will create easier matchups for the other receivers.
