The New Orleans Saints avoided major injuries during the offseason for the most part. That being said, they have a couple of stars that are questionable for Sunday’s opener against the Atlanta Falcons. Wide receiver Michael Thomas and safety Tyrann Mathieu are the two in question.

The Saints would love for both of them to play, but they won’t push it in Week 1. Michael Thomas has looked great in practice this week, according to reports. He practiced in limited fashion all week.

Mathieu had no injury designation from practice until Friday. He missed practice Friday.

Backup offensive tackle Landon Young is also questionable for the Saints. Safety/special team stud J.T. Gray is questionable with a hamstring injury, too.

We’ll find out early on Sunday who is in and who is out for the Saints in Week 1.
