The culture that Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has worked tirelessly to foster was on display ahead of the team’s Monday Night Football matchup with the Washington Commanders (4-5).

The Eagles (8-0) enter Monday night’s contest as 11-point favorites, per BetMGM. Despite all of the buzz surrounding the team, Philadelphia has a laser focus with a divisional rival coming to town.

In the NFL, captains are an extension of the team. For Philadelphia, nobody embodies the Eagles’ mindset more than defensive end Brandon Graham.

When Graham was asked about the challenge that Washington brings, his response was about what you’d expect from a leader of a Super Bowl contender.

“Just knowing that nothing [is] going to fall in your lap,” Graham said. “We’ve been working hard to get to this point, we’ve got to stay committed to it. Wherever the cards lay that’s where they lay.”

This is not a new spot for the Eagles. The Birds have been favored in all eight games this season, and have taken care of business in each and every one.

There is an underlying hunger inside the locker room. Despite an unblemished record, the Eagles are still being discounted by many talking heads around the league for what some perceive to be a weak schedule.

While the Eagles continue to poke holes through that theory, it’s clear that Sirianni has his team well-prepared for every opponent.

Philadelphia needs to assert their dominance early and often after a lackluster showing in a winning effort against the Houston Texans last week.
