The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be on track to get one of its key defensive pieces back from injury sooner rather than later.
Eagles rookie defensive tackle Jordan Davis was spotted outside of the team’s locker room without a walking boot. This might not seem like much on the surface, but it’s crucial that Davis makes his return as soon as possible.

Still has three more games to sit out, but a good sign for his recovery.
Philadelphia was gashed by the lowly Houston Texans in the run game last week. Obviously, Davis’ absence was a major reason as to why the defense couldn’t keep Texans running back Dameon Pierce in check.
Davis was moved to injured reserve two weeks ago after spraining his ankle against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. The earliest Davis could return to game action would be Philly’s Week 13 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

His return would be timely as the Eagles’ defense would be tasked with slowing down the best running back in the NFL.
Eagles fans can exhale, knowing that Davis’ ankle injury shouldn’t have long-lasting ramifications for one of the best defenses in all of football.
