The Philadelphia Eagles were not necessarily expected to have this good of an offense before the season started. That is, by the national media, as anyone who follows the team knew it could be this good.

They are one of the best offenses in the league, and I’d even say the best offense in the league. When you think of a team that can beat you on the ground with a balanced rushing attack between the running back and quarterback, it’s the Eagles.

When you think of a team that can dump it off to the check downs, hit the medium crossing routes, and even go deep, this year it has been the Eagles. If you don’t believe me, there is a stat out there that proves Philadelphia has been the best team when throwing it deep.

Eagles’ stat proves offense is elite

If you follow Pro Football Focus, you know they have advanced stats that they show all the time. Recently they posted a tweet that listed two teams and said they were the top two in the league in terms of throwing it deep.

The tweet read “most receptions gaining at least 15 yards,” as a team. The New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles are tied with the most at 35.

First of all, shout out to the Jets who look like they have a pretty good offense on their hands for the future. However, still not better than the Eagles.

Secondly, this team’s offense compared to last season is night and day. If you ask me, it has everything to do with the addition of A.J. Brown and the elevated play of Jalen Hurts, who is at an MVP level right now.

Brown has 436 receiving yards, which is fifth in the league. He also has an average of 15.6 yards per catch, which is enough to add one to that stat every time he catches the ball, technically.

This offense is flourishing and stats like these by PFF only prove that.
