The Philadelphia Eagles‘ undefeated season is finally over. I don’t mean to come off in a way that sounds happy, but, I kind of am.

Now the stress of the undefeated season is gone. No more getting nervous about losing that one game to that one team that shouldn’t have beta the Eagles.

There is so much stress that comes with that. I mean think about it. There has only been one team to ever go undefeated and win the Super Bowl, or in other words the perfect season.

Seeing how hard it is should make everyone commend the 1972 Miami Dolphins even more.

It really is hard though. Now the players don’t have to carry that anymore either, and I’m sure some of them are happy about that part.

“I don’t want to make any excuses,” A.J. Brown said after their undefeated season is officially over. “You know, I think they played better than us tonight. And that, you know that [explitive] happens sometimes, man.

“It’s just all about how you respond… Me personally, of course, I want to win, but now all this 17-0 [explitive] is over with. Now we are going to wake up, and how are you going to respond? Man, it’s all good man, you know what I’m saying? This is a game that we love to play and sometimes you get hit in the mouth. How do you respond?”

Of course, no one wants to lose. However, getting it out of the way now sure will make things a whole lot easier than having your first loss come in the playoffs.

This loss will likely only help the Eagles get better. Now they have some tangible evidence of how to lose, and to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

“I’m glad it happened right now, instead of the one we really need,” Darius Saly said after the game.

Losing now is much better than losing the most important game of the season. Watch the Eagles only go up from here.
