The hype for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens appears to be legitimate.

Pickens has impressed during training camp and he carried that momentum into his first preseason game on Saturday.

The former Georgia Bulldogs standout caught three passes for 43 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh’s 32-25 win against the Seattle Seahawks.

Pickens’ touchdown was in the corner of the end zone and required some fancy footwork from the young wide receiver.

Pickens also left his mark by completely destroying a Seattle defensive back at the line of scrimmage.

It feels like the Steelers might have the next big star wide receiver on their roster in Pickens. He’s doing everything right so far.

There is one thing, however, that Pickens isn’t very good at. And it’s something that Pro-Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick pointed out on Saturday.

Pickens is apparently terrible at talking trash, though that doesn’t stop him from doing it.

I’m sure it won’t take Pickens long to pick up on the intricacies of trash talking in the NFL. A couple of weeks of hearing cornerbacks talk trash to the rookie should be all it takes for Pickens to pick up some good lines to use.
