On the cusp of their Week 15 matchup with the reigning Super Bowl runner-up, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers received some bittersweet news.
The good news is that Antoine Winfield Jr., Mike Edwards and Sean Murphy-Bunting will play, which is significant boost for the Buccaneers secondary. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka is active and will play, as well.
The bad news is that they will be without starting cornerback Jamel Dean. They will also be without Carl Nassib, and All-Pro offensive tackle Trsitan Wirfs.

The rollercoaster continues when looking at the Bengals inactives, as well.
It may not seem like a big deal on the surface, but Jalen Davis is Mike Hilton’s backup, which means rookie defensive back Dax Hill will man the nickel back position. This is a big deal since the Buccaneers have one of the NFL’s best slot receivers in Chris Godwin. Davis was listed as doubtful after Friday’s final practice.
Trey Hendrickson, Hayden Hurst, and Hilton were all ruled out on Friday.
