The Tampa Bay Buccaneers received a piece of good injury news on Sunday. The Bucs activated rookie cornerback Don Gardner from the active/physically unable to perform list, otherwise known as PUP.

Gardner went undrafted out of South Dakota State where he was named a second-team FCS All-American last season. He totaled 144 tackles and led the team with seven pass breakups in 2021.

Gardner’s activation is notable because Tampa Bay is now without a single player on the PUP list.

The Bucs will be able to hit the ground running for the second week of training camp with Gardner eligible to participate immediately.
