The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in need of some good news after last week’s disappointing loss to the Cleveland Browns.
The loss continued a common theme for the Buccaneers this season, which has normally been one step forward, then two steps back.
This team is in desperate need of some juice, some more veteran leadership, and another reminder that this team can still push for their major goals.
Luckily for Tampa Bay, they got it in the form of veteran defensive back Logan Ryan. Ryan has been on injured reserve for more than a month, after he suffered a foot fracture during the month of October.

Ryan’s return is big for this Buccaneers defense.
He’s been big help for the Buccaneers’ secondary, establishing himself as an impressive communicator for a defense that needs it at times.
Not only that, his communication on the back end was a main reason as to why the Buccaneers’ secondary looked so good over the first three to four weeks of the season. When that level of importance suddenly leaves the lineup, the consequences are immediately known, as we’ve seen within the Buccaneers’ secondary over the last few weeks.
Plus, with Antoine Winfield Jr.’s health remaining uncertain, receiving another experienced voice for this Buccaneers defense certainly helps with his absence as well.
There’s still some issues within the Buccaneers that still need to be fixed, but getting a luxury item like Ryan back is a nice early Christmas gift.
