Coming into today’s heated division battle with the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a few questions marks in terms of health.

Chris Godwin’s playing status was in question due to a hamstring injury he suffered last week. Russell Gage’s status was also in question due to a nagging injury of his, as well. Julio Jones was also dealing with a knee injury, so his status was a bit of an unknown too.

Well, with the Buccaneers releasing their inactives moments ago and we finally have confirmation on who’s playing and who’s not.

With Godwin and Jones both out, the brunt of the work in the passing game will fall on the shoulders of Mike Evans.

He’s banged up as well, but he’s still going to play and give the Buccaneers some threat in the passing game today. As for support? That’ll have to fall on the shoulders of Russell Gage and others.

Another key injury is starting left tackle Donovan Smith, who injured his elbow during last week’s win against the Dallas Cowboys. That’s a big loss for a team going up against a fron seven such as the one the Saints possess. Josh Wells will play in Smith’s stead.

Will that amount to anything and give the Buccaneers a chance at some consistency against a good Saints defense? That remains to be seen. Chances are the Buccaneers will work something out though, as they always do.
