Devin White hasn’t had the best year so far during the 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During a time in which White is normally one of the more physical players on the team and is regarded as one of the more better inside linebackers in all of football, White has disappointed with his play on the field and has generally left this defense hanging.

But yesterday against the Los Angeles Rams, White appeared to play with better intellect, and played with a passion we haven’t seen from him this season.

One only has to wonder what the reason was for White’s play to suddenly jump in quality, as it’s incredibly tough to do so just on a whim in the NFL.

Well, we got our answer from White himself, and it’s one that you have to appreciate White for honestly giving out in the public eye.

White has a very good point here.

It might not look it, but the job these men do on the field is incredibly difficult to keep up from week to week. The physical and mental toll can be rough, which is why this profession isn’t one everyone can simply do.

Not only that, but the there’s a very few select candidates that get to do this each and every Sunday. Not every college football player is going to make it, but the ones who do are expected to do their job to the best of their ability.

It’s good to see White recognizing the fragility of this profession, while also striving to make every play count.

That’s a veteran’s mindset, a very defined one as well.
