Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady gave us the most awkward/intense television moment of the year on Monday and he wasn’t even on camera.

In fact, he wasn’t even in the building.

During Monday’s edition of “Undisputed” on FS1, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless got into a heated debate that was born from a conversation about Tom Brady and playing at age 45.

Bayless, who was defending Brady, took a shot at Sharpe for retiring at age 35

Here’s the clip:

There are plenty of times that I wonder how much of an “act” we’re getting from Bayless and Sharpe (specifically from Bayless). And I suspect that most of the “debates” we see from these two are completely fabricated.

But this one felt real. When the voices start reaching a higher octave, it’s usually a sign that someone is angry and it’s not for show.

Brady’s poor performance against the San Francisco 49ers literally resulted in grown men yelling at each other on television.

I’m sure FS1 will send a thank you to Brady, though. Organic reactions can be rare in sports television with so many storylines manufactured. This moment between Bayless and Sharpe, however, appeared real. There’s no doubt it will be all over social media this week. And it all happened because of Tom Brady.
