The Tennessee Vols aren’t in action this week (it could be argued they weren’t in action last week either, but I digress), but there are still SEC games to pick this week.

Going into last weekend, my record was up to .500 on the season at 16-16.

I’m sad to say that my foray into “breaking even territory” didn’t last long. I went 4-5 last week, thanks in part to the Florida Gators covering the spread against Tennessee and Arkansas’ implosion against San Jose State (San Jose State? Ok….).

My record on the season now stands at 20-21.

Hopefully I can get back to (or above) .500 this week. There isn’t a Vols game to pick incorrectly so I should stand a decent shot.

Here we go for week five.

  • Vanderbilt 17 Northern Illinois 10 (Vanderbilt -6.5)
  • Texas A&M 42 Arkansas 13 (Texas A&M -23.5)
  • Alabama 49 Ole Miss 10 (Alabama -37.5)
  • Florida 52 Towson 3 (Florida -37.5)
  • Auburn 23 Mississippi State 10 (Auburn -10)
  • Kentucky 27 South Carolina 24 (South Carolina -3)
