ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots quarterback Will Grier to a one-year deal.

This comes after the Eagles traded for former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett earlier this month. So Grier joins Jalen Hurts and Pickett on the roster.

Grier spent a lot of the 2023 season with the Patriots, having been signed in September. He remained on the active roster until the end of November before he was waived and re-signed to the practice squad.

However, during his time with the Patriots he never took a snap in a game, and was ultimately signed by the Los Angeles Chargers from the Patriots practice squad towards the end of the season.

And now he's headed to the Eagles.

Grier was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft he joined the Cowboys off waivers right before the start of the season in 2021.

Just before cutdown day, the Cowboys acquired Trey Lance, who was set to serve as the third-string quarterback. That left Grier on the outs, but the team allowed him to play the complete preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he had a standout performance.

The quarterback recorded 305 passing yards and two passing touchdowns along with two rushing touchdowns.

But then he was released.

Just a day after, he signed with the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad. And then the Patriots snagged him from the Bengals a month later.

So it's been a lot of movement for Grier during his career.

But while the Patriots were in a different division, Grier is now headed to one of the Cowboys' biggest rivals. So let's see how the Cowboys feel about that.
