Ezekiel Elliott has wasted no time since officially signing with the New England Patriots.
As the team took the field for the first day of joint practices against the Green Bay Packers, Elliott was among them. And he gave people a glimpse of him in a Patriots jersey for the first time.
And with that, he is back in No. 15, which is what he wore in college.
The deal was announced on Monday, with Elliot reportedly signing with the Patriots on a one-year deal worth up to $6 million. It was made official on Wednesday, right before the start of joint practice.
The veteran brings a lot of experience to the roster, providing additional depth behind Rhamondre Stevenson. Across his seven years in the league, Elliott has 8,262 rushing yards and 68 touchdowns across 103 games played with the Dallas Cowboys. On the receiving side, has has recorded 305 receptions for 2,336 yards and 12 touchdowns.
And despite Bill Belichick not giving a direct answer as to if Elliott would be practicing with the team, MassLive's Mark Daniels reported that so far throughout practice he has been a full participant.
